Following a meeting with the Wellington 4WD club Steven Peters Senior Park Ranger has written an email for user groups of the track. He says he is happy to take any questions\comments on the release below, just give him a call
‘Wellington City Council is going to engage a contractor to do some work on the coastal road. We are going to do some very basic track work to make the coastal route as safe as we can for all user groups. We hope to get onto this work as early as next week, this does depend on the availability of contractors.
The main work will be moving a few rocks, shaping some entry\exits on and off the beach in a few spots. The road condition will not be the same as it once was and we will update some of signage to reflect the changing condition of the road.’
