Unlucky Toa (a 6 month old orca) beached on rocks 11/7 looking for stingrays. Luckily a ‘good human’ found him. The local community/ wild life organisations swung in behind Toa and set up a rehab enclosure for him until they can find his tribe’s pod. Two people are in the water with him on one hour shifts 24/7. Island Bay Divers has donated a thousand dollars in hire equipment to ensure those monitoring are warm & safe. Hopefully Toa will be back in his real world with his pod soon.
